Which is the more universal sign of a young well-to-do with nothing but time to shop and money to burn: a Louis Vuitton or a tiny accessory dog?
A better question: why should a girl have to choose?
Both beg to be taken out, shown off and caressed; and both will be replaced at the end of the season, with newer, more compact and fashionable models.
In Liu Dao's new series of mixed media pieces, the grinning LED-animated Chihuahua peeps out of his chic oil-painted cocoon, unaware of its fast approaching fashion faux pas. Like his distracted mistress, his eyes are fixed on the horizon, already searching for that next shiny new bauble. [Emma Lauren]
